News Update: 6/24/02 Memphis, TN Production has begun on BBZ’s debut album at Ardent Studios with Producer Skidd Mills, they just completed mix on 3 cuts and the new song “See through you” could be released as the first single on the LP. Blinded By Zeus (BBZ) definitely sticks with today's radio friendly rock band sound on their four song self titled disc. It is a four-track cd that gives you a taste of what the band is about. The disc starts off with a dirty bass line that kicks into a bouncy kinda hard-edged in your face rock feel. I'd say this first track is the hardest on the disc. Tracks two and three seem to showcase the lighter side of the band and it concludes with the fourth and final track bringing the energy back up. BBZ are definitely comfortable with what they are doing and seem to have their style and sound down. The music and the vocals blend well together and stay tight throughout the four tracks. The recording is good as well. The instruments and the vocals are presented nicely.
