Description:
Although primarily known as a Jimmy Buffett tribute show, The Coconutz play a wide format of music covering such artists as Van Morrison and Carlos Santanna along with a variety of rock and country. The band also has a collection of original material that has become a crowd pleaser over the years.
Band Members:
Ron Cook is lead vocalist and plays acoustic guitar. Barry Dockery has returned from the original lineup as the band's drummer. Michael Hanson adds to the sound of the band on latin percussion. Rounding out the band are keyboardist and vocalist Rick Lawson, Steve Horrell, guitar and vocals and bassist Wayne Phelps.

The Coconutz can be found performing at festivals, nightclubs, and Parrot-Head events throughout the year. The band travels all across the North and South Carolina region as well as Virginia entertaining crowds from 100 to 10,000. You may join our mailing list or check the schedule page often to find dates in your area that have been added recently. If you have not had the opportunity to see one of our shows we hope that you will make plans to attend a festival in your area that features Captain Cook and The Coconutz, and to our local friends in the Wilmington vicinity, as always we look forward to seeing you monthly at Salty's Fine Foods to help us have the best party in town.
