Band Members:
Members:

JOE CAPS - influenced by the soulful and powerful guitar styles that defined 60's & 70's soul & funk and honed his skills with friend & bassist Sonny Skyyz. Played extensively in the San Diego area where he was recruited by the legendary "Melvin Brown and the MB Sound" as a guitarist and background vocalist as part of an HBO Documentary on local bands. As a founding member of San Diego bands such as The Beach Street Project, Winds of Change and Bo Maggot and the Scrotums, Joe has spent years playing the local clubs from San Diego to Santee. Relocating to Sacramento, Joe continued to work as a guitarist with some of the best musicians in town until becoming a founding member of Just Musik!

REMILLO DuBOSE (RT) – Started playing the drum set at age 12. From elementary through college he played in several bands. After a 32 year break, he resumed in 2003 and is currently playing for three bands. He’s played Classic & Country Rock, R&B, Funk, Blues, Jazz and Hip-Hop. His influences and inspiration can be found in the likes of local drummers such as his oldest son (Remillo Stefon DuBose (of SuperHuey Live), youngest son (William Elliott DuBose), Floyd Kennedy (of St. Paul Baptist Church Sacramento, CA), and well known drummers such as Billy Cobham and Dave Clark (of Dave Clark Five). His forte is “staying in the pocket” keeping the band on target!

RODELL PATMAN – Has been playing professionally since he could walk, his bass lines are the foundation and drive behind the bands unique sound, he is originally from New York City where his early influences were in New Wave, Dance, Hip-Hop, Hard Rock, and Funk. Later he would discover Jazz, Fusion, Prog Rock, Reggae, and more avant-garde sounds that would influence his style. He came to Sacramento in the late 80’s where he has played alongside a string of musicians and has been part of opening for more established artist. His influences and inspiration can be found in the likes of such bass men as Stanley Clarke, Louis Johnson, John Taylor, Geddy Lee, Marcus Miller, and John Entwistle.

JACK CARMICHAEL - from Natomas, CA is the most recognized, versatile and complete keyboard player in the Sacramento area. Jack has played, recorded with some of the best players and musical acts in the Central Valley.

CHRIS TADINA -- is a refugee from the "Yay Area," who has played saxophone for over twenty-plus years. He studied Jazz Performance at San Francisco state, where artists-in-residence Hafez Modirzadeh aided in intuitive/soulful playing, Andrew Speight schooled him in "saxophone nuts and bolts," and John Calloway mentored him in the idiom of Afro-Cuban. Before this, he was fortunate to be taken under the wing of The Bunker Hill Community College Jazz Band, and got a scholarship to study under Berklee College of Music's Summer System 5 Program, all at the tender age of seventeen. With all of the styles he can play, Chris will admit that his meat and potatoes is honest to goodness FUNK. He got on this road when he started listening to James Brown and absorbing the majesty of Maceo Parker, Pee Wee Ellis and Fred Wesley. In his San Francisco chapter, he went to the "school of gigging/stage performance of hard knocks," where he was a fixture with peers at "pick-up" gigs in Jazz combos/jam sessions and enjoyed tenure with the band Dali Clock into the band San Pablo Project, where he got to play the greasy streets of the East Bay.... Vocal-wise, as a family activity, he sang with his virtual "Von Trapps" in his youth throughout high school. Among all of the music he played with his family; it wasn't uncommon to sing The Beatles, The Everly Brothers, The Drifters, The Platters, The Righteous Brothers, CSN&Y, The Mamas and The Papas, Peter-Paul-and Mary and other artists of that golden age. Later he and his sister enjoyed the works of Bob Marley and Cat Stevens.... Guitar-wise, he started playing during his short disinterest with saxophone when he discovered Jimi Hendrix. He has found comfort during the years, strumming along and singing to hits genres over, wailing around blues scales and has written a handful of songs.... Chris has ended up putting all of this "in storage," and is happy to unearth all of this history and experience with Just Musik!
