Description:
Roy Carter is a singer, songwriter, live performer and Nashville Recording Artist extraordinaire living in Indiana.
His music has a traditional and country rock feel with some love, tenderness and toe-tapping added in to finish out the sound.. Roy never realized that people like Eddie Arnold, Jim Reeves, Hank Williams, Alan Jackson and George Strait would be his influences and would change his life altogether.
Roy's music career started at the age of 9 when he started playing the guitar. By age 15 he had already played lead guitar in several bands but felt something was lacking and wanted to take his career one step further. He sought out every opportunity to sing and play in the public. With persistence and a lot of hard work Roy performed with The Legendary Merle Haggard's son Marty Haggard in Upstate New York.
Roy's latest album "Powerful Stuff" contains the songs "We Need Jesus", which Roy wrote and dedicated to our troops and is getting many good reviews, and "Chickens On The Railroad Tracks", both of which are getting radio airplay.
So what does Roy Carter have planned for the future? Doing what he loves, singing and playing country music and may start on his fourth album, time will tell.
