Description:
In 2009, from the split of El Paso, Texas blues rock sextet Sweet Wolf, Mike Hernandez, Richard Rap, and Jessie Castillo re-grouped to form BlackWolfHowl. This time, opting for a darker, heavier sound; BlackWolfHowl draws on blues infused grooves and infectious melodies, driven by smoldering guitar riffs. Drawing comparisons to retro-metal heavy hitters Motorhead and the groove laden arrangements of Black Sabbath, the trio has seized upon the souls of their audiences with a ferocity that can only be rivaled by the gods themselves. In January of 2012, the band took their brand of blues/metal into the studio, cutting a 5 song demo with the help of local recording engineer Andrew “Moss” Macias. With plans under way to release an EP and a subsequent tour, BWH plans to take the road by storm; bringing crowds along the way, to their knees...
