Description:
Dr*ink is a 5-person musical performing group rooted in classic rock but with love for many styles of music from country to metal. The band's repertoire is loaded with material from bands like the Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Black Sabbath and Iggy Pop. But a typical set also includes songs from Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley.
Band Members:
Dr*ink is fronted by Patrick Roese, who has been the lead singer for Ohio bands including Craven Moore for more than 25 years. Guitarist Joe Lafferre is a versatile player who has played in central Ohio bands for 30 years including Gangster (whose single "Bite the Bullet" got local radio airplay in the 80's) and the Skillet Lickers, among others. Bassist Mike Darst cut his chops with Orianna in southern Ohio in the 90's. Drummer Paul Quinn has played in numerous bands over his 30+ years of rock and roll, beginning with an all-originals band in Zanesville called "Exit" before forming a still-active family band ("The Quinn Family Singers") and joining Gangster prior to joining Dr*ink. Percussionist and woodwind player Philip Powers began his performing career in high school and is capable of playing a wide variety of musical styles and instruments including alto and tenor sax, flute, cowbell, woodblock and more.
