Keggie – Enjoying a long needed break after the unfortunate dissipating of Substance1, Keggie seems ready to rock. Keggie who led Substance1 to shows at The Roxy, Galaxy and CoachHouse is back and prepared to lead new project 1040. Keggie has a natural gift of musical talents, an extraordinary singing voice, his range is versatile and presence on stage undeniable. “I really believe in this band, the energy is amazing.” – His influences include reggae roots artist Culture, Don Carlos and The Gladiators amongst others.

Craf-t – The ex-lead guitar player of Common Grownd is now the head player in 1040. Craf-t is an exceptional song writer, as well as guitar player. His talents have grown dramatically giving 1040 a step above the rest. When asked about the Common Grown breakup Craf-t stated “The breakup of Common Grownd was hard, but starting 1040 has been amazing, the vibes are good again and we’re back to having fun.” Craf-t, whose main influences range from 311’s more modern reggae/hip-hop style to Operation Ivy’s old school flavor.

Ali – Ali received little rest after the breakup of Substance1, immediately joining fellow O.C. band Common Grownd. Ali and former Common Grownd guitarist, now current 1040 guitarist Craf-t formed an instant connection. “We just got together and jammed, writing was super easy and fun again.” Ali plays an aggressive style of bass while incorporating warm reggae tunes resulting in smooth grooving bass lines. His influences include all facets of reggae music, Operation Ivy, 311 and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Chad Gozzo – Former drummer of Crown Glory, joins 1040 bringing a versatile edge to an already talented group. He has emerged with a funky style rounding out a solid rhythm section. Although Chad plays drums for 1040, his talent does not stop there. Chad is capable of contributing on guitar, bass as well as vocal tracks. “Chad’s an innovative drummer and a positive influence to have around these guys” says joval.
