Upstate NY's Premiere Party Band No Compromise Featuring Terry Walker has been specifically formed to provide the highest level of completely live musical entertainment and professionalism available at any type of event! In addition to performing frequently in Binghamton New York the band travels often for events in Syracuse, Utica, Elimra, Scranton, Ithaca, etc. There is no doubt that No Compromise is so much more than just another Binghamton wedding band.
Terry Walker - Lead Vocal/Percussion - Terry has been performing locally non-stop for over 30 years with many of the areas favorite bands. As well as No Compromise, Terry performs in several music projects including an 11 Piece Soul/Funk band "Terry Walker Project", a duo called "Certified Soul" and a mellow duo with keyboardist Tom Sorber called "Smooth". His past bands include his own band “No Compromise and the Kamikaze Horns”, and other area favorites, "Brotherhood" and “Discovery”.His “blue eyed” soulful vocal style and his high energy approach have made him a mainstay in the areas most popular R&B and Top 40 bands throughout the years. His performing characteristics and attention to detail have put him in great demand with many Nightclubs, Weddings, High Society and Corporate events. Terry has shared the stage with many famous artists such as, 3 Dog Night, Chuck Mangione, Hall & Oates, and John Mellencamp. Most notably, Terry was invited by the members of “Toto” to perform on stage with them during their Binghamton Arena concert appearance. Tom Sorber - Keyboards/Vocals - Tom is a versatile musician and arranger. His musical influences and studies (both in college and out) and years of gigging have shaped him into a well schooled funky two-fisted good time keyboardist. He is equally comfortable playing smooth piano behind a torchy love song as he is playing high energy, funky rhythms and leads on a Hammond B3 organ, or a ripping synth line. In addition, Tom has done a great deal of recording, taught piano music theory/technique, arranged for and directed church choirs and orchestras, co-founded the Gospel group "Jacob's Ladder", has been a signed musician with the ABC Dunhill Recording Company, recording in New York City, and has written/recorded many original songs (won a National song writing competition, wrote the fight song theme for the original Broome Dusters hockey team, and has been published by a major Gospel label). Tom has performed and recorded with with many successful groups over the years. He even had the honor of being invited to play "Wooly Bully" and "Little Red Riding Hood" with "Sam the Sham" and "At The Hop" with "Danny and the Juniors" in concert. He remains active in the music community, always has a number of projects in the works and is highly sought after as a soloist, accompanist or sub by other musicians and groups. Tom maintains a personal music website at www.tomsorber.com Sean “The Kid” Kanazawich - Drums - Sean has been drumming since his Dad bought him his first drum set at 5 years old. He grew up in a musical family, and was exposed to all types of music. Both his Father and Grandmother gave him piano lessons and his drum training came from Binghamton New York's drum icon and teacher Joe Roma. Sean has steadily progressed to become one of the area's most sought after session drummers. He credits his success to his ability to create musical conversations with other musicians. Because of his talent, he has had the opportunity to work with many seasoned musicians who have further influenced his development and style. No Compromise is fortunate to have Sean 'driving the bus'. His grooves will keep you dancing all night long! Pat Driscoll - Guitar/Vocals - Pat Driscoll is a staple of the Central NY music scene. He’s a guitarist, vocalist, and keyboardist who’s appeared and recorded with several CNY favorites including The Burns Sisters, The Dean Brothers, The Destination and Bernie Milton to name a few. Pat hails from Ithaca, NY. As a kid, he studied classical piano with his uncle George, who was an Emeritus Professor of Music at Ithaca College. He dropped out of high school at age 16 to spend a summer gigging in North Africa, but later returned to school, playing his way through college while completing a bachelor’s degree in economics at Cornell University. Pat’s most recent recording credits include much of the guitar work on Sherman “Dancin’ in the Moonlight” Kelly’s new CD, Burnin’ the Candle (see http://www.shermankelly.com). Bill "Bass King" Avery - Bass - Bill Avery is one of the most sought after bass players on the East coast. Bass King has played with a virtual Who's who over the years. Recording artists like Chuck Berry, Bobby Comstock, Dio, Bo Diddley, The Drifters and The Coasters are just a few of the acts he has toured and/or recorded with. Locally, Bill has been a big part of the success for bands such as, Atlas, The Bernie Milton Band, The Burns Sisters, and most recently The Destination. He appears on countless recordings and has toured nationally and internationally over the years. His jaw dropping grooves will drag you out of your seat and on to the dance floor. Need we say more??
