Description:
Their story begins a long long time ago, around the summer months of 2008. The Summoning of the Sun bore the initial light of the Pleasant Corners of your Mind. The former band "Summon the Sun," consisting of Aaron, Tj, Jim, and Travis also included a lead singer and guitarist. The two of them had the conventional sound that lead us into being the standard good jam band. It wasn't until these core four members of the Pleasant Corners left for a festival journey to Moe.down that the two leaders of Summon the Sun left the band, leaving with no leading musical direction. It was up to the remaining four to pick up the light and allow it to continue to shine, now shining as PLEASANT CORNERS! From this point on, things began sounding delightfully weird... Unique...

The stars and the planets aligned in such a manner to release the most Pleasant energies of sonic creations from the deepest corners of their minds. The energies of rushing psychedelia began flooding listeners' ears and sending vibrations to the soul that to this day no one still fully comprehends. After taking this sound out and releasing it's energy in live performance settings they gained their second percussionist/drummer, Phil, and keyboardist/clarinetist, Tim. Now with the sound full and complete, it was time to set it sound in stone...

In June, 2009 Pleasant Corners recorded their debut studio album "Welcome to the Delightful Sounds of the Pleasant Corners of Your Mind." As the album continues to melt the faces of those who embarked into the psychedelic journey of the album, the radiant light of their music began to rise... Playing live on multiple radio stations (88.1 WIDY, 91.7 WMUH, 90.3 WXLV, Radio 23) and landing "Band of the Week" in the Morning Call, Pleasant Corners drew 140 mind bent spectators to their album release party, held in the tiny Taylor Roasted Coffeehouse in Northampton, Pa.

As time goes on and events occur, the balances of universal energy come to life and magic begins to carry the band to colorful dreams unimaginable. Gaining their new lead guitarist Dan Seier, and professional vocalist Kate Wilgruber, the band with the help of a compilation of gathered friends and family joined forces of love, creation and inspiration and hosted a free camp-out festival called May Flora Festival at Stonehedge Gardens in Tamaqua. The overflowing love experienced by the 400 mystified hazy festival-goers at May Flora Festival took everyone by such a Pleasant surprise that we all went on to throw yet another festival called Sol Gathering only ONE MONTH LATER... this one to bring 600 members of our friends and family for yet another success!

As our band and family grows, we only wish to continue the magic, to rise further as a band, spreading our sound to the minds of larger and larger audiences. All we want is for everyone to ascend high with us as we ourselves continue to float through the cosmos of music and art, in a colorful exploration the Pleasant Corners of the mind...

We play music from outer space!
