Description:
Danny Chaimson is a native of Chicago and the 11th Hour are also members of the band Orgone. Together, they have this great '70's funk/rock and roll sound and has been compared to Mayer Hawthorne, Randy Newman,G.Love, Joe Jackson, and Billy Joel's early sound among others. Chaimson cites Ray Charles, The Band, Sly & the Family Stone, Little Feat, Billy Preston and Robert Palmer among his favorites—along with the Beatles and Stones, of course. But he isn’t one of those young artists who lose themselves in their obsessive study of rock’s past. He lives and makes music in the present tense, not so much pulling consciously from the greats but feeling these sounds in the pursuit of his own thing. “It’s just in me,” he says. And that makes all the difference.
