Description:
Trans-mutative gypsy prog-rock band aMedivm (A-Medium) combines the modern progressive rock stylings of Tool and Radiohead with the classic rock influences of Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. The band's sound, simply termed "MAGNORMUS", can be described as an inter-weaving guitar work, surrounded in thickly saturating bass, encased in math equations in the form of drums. "Music is a channeling experience to us - spiritual in the upmost regards. These songs chose to unveil themselves and as mediums of music it is our duty to share them with the world." Come see a live performance with accompanying visual art.
Band Members:
Brandon Lee Closser * Nathan Kearney * Sean Wilcoxen * Paul Napier Initially formed by Brandon Lee Closser as a project in Springfield, MO, in 2005, aMedivm (pronounced A-Medium), began as a collection of soundscapes and instrumental tracks. The earliest songs were comprised of luscious layer's of sound bathing in frequency manipulation. aMedivm was solely a side project until Nathan "Snake" Kearney joined on guitar in 2008. The two being blood cousins, developed an undeniable chemistry very quickly. Close friend, Shaun Wilcoxen, joined on bass in mid 2009 and Paul Napierski joined on drums shortly after.
