Description:
Greetings and thanks for the interest in "Blistered" - Tampa's hottest Cover band. The band's mission is to provide the very best in live music and entertainment, supported by first-rate stage production and pro-equipment. The band performs "Top 40" covers from the past three decades (and even a few "classics" from the 60's) with a focus on today's modern rock and Pop music. We also perform Alternative, Reggae, Techno, Club, Heavy Rock, etc. (please see our Master Song List) ). The common denominator is performing music that is "recognizable", "danceable", and "fun"! A bit of history and a few short words about the band membership. Victoria and Owen had been collaborating for some time in several music projects in and around Tampa (e.g., "LifePoint", "Crazy 8's" and "Mixed Rhythm"). Owen also played with Robi in a couple of Latin projects. Neal had been mixing it up with "Stroke of X", Taylor had been playing with "Radio Reset" and several other projects, and Mike was working a side project with "Identity Crisis". Through the magic of networking, we all heard about each other and began communicating the thought of starting a new project. We got together one evening at Robi's house, jammed for a bit, and quickly realized it was exactly what we had all been looking for. The chemistry was perfect and the band was born!
Band Members:
As you can see from the biography pages, we have a diverse background and hail from across the globe. Mike is a Business Operations Manager in the Defense Industry and married with three children, Victoria is working toward a PhD in classical music (no kidding!), Taylor is in the Mortgage Banking Industry, Neal is a Program Manager, Owen is an executive management consultant and married with a daughter in college, and Robi is an HVAC Business Owner and Contractor and is married with two children. But don't let that fool you - there is over a hundred years of pro- and semi-pro-musical experience in the group (Owen has been performing live for over 30 years!).
