Description:
We are a five piece band with 3 prior military members playing out of Fayetteville, North Carolina. We mix up melodic rock music with thoughtful lyrics with pieces of reggae, blues based solos, california punk and more. We strive to write music that can be the soundtrack of our lives. We aren't your everyday band. We have wifes, girlfriends, kids, full time jobs and yet we want to take it all the way. We work hard promoting our shows, getting new fans, writing new music and more.

Oakcrest has a lot of stuff coming up including a tour to California in August. Starting off we are playing Jester's pub with Dreamkiller, Stych and 7 day sorrow on the 3rd of July. then on the 4th we are having a huge party at our drummer donnies pad we are calling Oakfest. Live music, BYOB, free food, dancing, etc. It's going to kick major ass. On wednesday the 8th of July we will be playing a huge show with ROOKIE OF THE YEAR at Jester's Pub. Also playing will be The Seperate, After 11 and Shane Kelly. Rookie of the year is a national act from Fayetteville so you don't want to miss this one. On the 11th is a free show. We will be playing outside of the Fayetteville hooters in between wrestling matches from zone wrestling alonside Messenger of Hope and Summers of Amber from Raleigh. Nothing better than Hooters girls, rock n' roll, and wrestling. That's all brought to you by the Music is my weapon of Choice non profit organization for kids. Later that night we will drive to Raleigh to put on a kick ass show at The Rockland in Raleigh. If you are in Raleigh or want to drive up with us send us an e-mail or a message on Myspace. On the 17th of July we will have our first official Cd release party. We're trying to get some midget wrestlers so we'll keep you up to date about that. The 18th of July we are doing a benefit "Christmas in July" at M+M leather. The bikers are going to drive up to Duke Med earlier in the day to deliver toys to the kids and we're going to play music for them when they get back. Later that night we're going to drive to Clayton, NC and put on our first 3 hour show at The Full House Bar. Once again anyone who wants to go with us is invited. We'll make it happen!!! Finally our last show of July is on the 31st. We'll be making an encore at The Rockland Bar and Grill in Raleigh. I'm telling you that place has great drink specials and awesome food. The grill is open until 1:30am. So yeah we have our new uncut live tracks up on our myspace. We have new pictures, videos all over you tube and our street team the Oakcrest girls is having contests and recruting new members. We would love for you to be a part of our team. Also a little birdy told me Oakcrest was going to be stopping by Dekka records in Arizona on their way to audition. Let's wish them luck.
