Grouped with bands like Disturbed, Drowning Pool, Mudvayne and Evanescence, Siva is heavy but easily falls within the confines of being radio-friendly. This five-piece power house has managed to pack plenty of interesting hooks into each of the tracks; showing comprehension of musical dynamics, building up before rocking out.

Switching from a soft melody to hard-hitting power notes throughout most of the album, front woman Bridgette Oliver’s vocals are strong, teasing listeners with her soft whispers and then attacking them with her full range. Through her clear vocals, Oliver channels Evanescence's Amy Lee, though broken up with flashes of screams and growls. Oliver proves that women can rock just as hard, or even harder, than their male counterparts.

Siva’s lineup includes Bridgette Oliver lead vocals, Bryan Jackson on guitar, David Bittle on guitar, Brian Shafer on bass and Brandon Fields on drums.

“SIVA”

Siva, an American hard rock band out of Oklahoma City, is set to release their debut album Artifice in Spring 2009 with a national tour. Siva's already successful music career has received international radio airplay and is literally hunting down the competition and in doing so; they developed an affectionate, loyal fan base.

Fans can expect a new release with least 12 original tracks for Artifice. In addition to the new material, a revamped "Dirty Secret" has been added which will "blow their freakin minds" according to Mike Finucane, Siva’s producer (Empty Crush, Xit 27).
