Description:
A Perfect Fifth is an up and coming band based out of St. Peters, MO. We play a wide range of our own original music as well as a few covers. Big influences are Dave Matthers Band, Sister Hazel, Dispatch, Counting Crows, etc. Great Acoustic music with stellar harmonies.

Band Members:
Jaeson - Jaeson was born in Washington State, but he has lived in many different parts of the country. He is currently going to school at the Missouri University of Science and Technology, and will graduate in May of 2009. He's been playing guitar since he was 16, and writing songs since he was 18. He gets much of his inspiration from acoustic greats like John Mayer, Dispatch, and by far and away most of all, the Dave Matthews Band. - Matt - Matt Olson was born and raised just ten minutes from the surf and sand in Huntington Beach, California. He moved to Missouri in 1994 where he first met long time friend Derrick Harrison. After High School Matt attended Missouri State where he first started playing and writing songs with a guitar that had belonged to his Grandfather. Matt loves his family, his friends, his beer, and his college football. His main influences include The Counting Crows, Dispatch, Sister Hazel, and of course the Dave Matthews Band. - Derrick - Derrick Harrison (drummer) has always been very involved in music. He played saxophone in band for many years. Later, he and Matt began dabbling with the guitar and began writing parts to songs. However, in order to complete the A Perfect Fifth ensemble, he has dedicated himself to learning and playing the drums. As well as music, Derrick's interests also include caving, playing soccer, Cardinal's baseball, Budweiser and the City of St. Louis. - Jackie - Jackie would tell you that she can't imagine where she'd be without music. She started hitting the piano when she was 3, and moved on to singing and playing the trumpet in elementary school. She has played in Concert Band, Pep Band, Winter Drumline, Marching Band, Orchestra Pit, and currently plays and sings in Mizzou's Concert Jazz Band. In high school, she won 3 talent shows, played Madam de la Grand Bouche in Disney's Beauty and the Beast, and starred as Dorothy Brock in 42nd Street. Playing with the boys in APF is one of the best things to ever happen to her. She is currently an English major at Mizzou, and she says she never would have gotten where she is without her incredibly supportive parents, Jim and Patty. - Kyle - Kyle began playing acoustic guitar in 2004, just for a hobby. After incessant complaints from his brother about needing a bass player for A Perfect Fifth, he decided to pick one up and give it a try. He received a bass for his birthday in the spring of '07, and began teaching himself how to play. He is always trying to pick up new style ideas and learn more material, but he'd tell you that bass is definitely his home now, especially with A Perfect Fifth.
