Description:
Shelling Seoul is relatively new to the Southern Illinois music scene. The band finds its strength in its detailed storytelling and simplistic composition, which is influenced by an array of genres including Psychedelic, Folk, and Indie. The goal of our music is to convey a message and extract emotion from our audience.
Band Members:
Shelling Seoul is comprised of members Travis Pearcy, Jesse James Farley, and Brandon Edwards. Travis Pearcy (Guitar/Vocals) is the main songwriter and composer, often blending his own life experiences into the music metaphorically. His composition is keyed to invoke emotion such as wonderment, sorrow, or bliss. Jesse James Farley (Bass) is highly influenced by early Rock 'N Roll and country, which is apparent in his playing style. He provides a strong backbone for the band. Brandon Edwards (Drums) is the youngest and most outspoken member of the band, providing an energetic beat that leaves no room for a dull moment. His influences include Seattle grunge, punk, and Brit rock.
