Description:
Bird Swamp Bob and the Four Point Bucks was born out of a desire to play good songs and music. When the members formed BSB their priorities were to remain committed each other and making good music. Bird Swamp Bob plays music from a variety of genres, including traditional country, new country, Americana, blues, and rock. They love to play great songs, regardless of how the song has been "labeled." The members of BSB are interested in creating a strong product. They are committed, both individually and as a group, to growing musically and as entertainers.
Band Members:
Bob Pfieffer, the lead guitar player and a lead vocalist, is the band leader. Bob is recognized by his peers as one of the most accomplished guitar players in the area. Bob is a graduate of the Dick Grove School Without Walls and a guitar teacher at Don's Music Shop in Olean, NY. Bob has a variety of influences like Alvin Lee, Don Rich, Brad Paisley, Warren Haynes, Jimmy Page, Bill Kirchen, Stevie Ray Vaughn...and the list goes on. Bob plays G&L Guitars, Carr Amplifiers, and Klon pedals.
Don Pfieffer is the rhythm guitar player and a lead vocalist. Don and Bob create impressive harmonies, which many people believe is the product of their being brothers. Don's rhythm playing creates a solid musical bridge between Bob's powerful lead playing and the rhythm section. Don is the owner and operator of Don's Music Shop and has been in the music retail business for over twenty-five years. Don plays Martin and G&L Guitars and Crate Acoustic Amplifiers.
Drew Sneddon, the band's drummer and percussionist, is the newest member of BSB. Drew is a technical and musical drummer who creates a solid foundation for the band. Drew has played professionally for a number of years, working in Boston, Detroit, and across Texas. Drew is a drum and percussion teacher at Don's Music Shop and has his own recording studio, Insight and Sound Studios in Allegany, NY. Drew plays PDP, Tama and drums from basically every drum manufacturer.
Michael Prutsman is the band's bass player and a lead vocalist. Michael has been playing bass for seven years. He has also been in bands as a lead vocalist and guitar player. Michael is committed to growing as a bass player, and studies bassist from Roscoe Beck and Tommy Shannon to Billy Sheehan and Victor Wooten. Michael and Drew are committed to creating "the groove" that makes the band's music happen and the people at their gigs move their bodies. Michael plays G&L and Peavey Basses and Peavey and Roland Amplifiers.
