Sans Heroic

Sans Heroic is an alternative rock quartet from Lunenburg Massachusetts that formed in early 2004 after Matt Penniman and Mark Ragusa entered a talent show and played an acoustic rendition of Brand New's "The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows". After the performance Matt realized that he should start a band with Mark. Mark would play drums and sing while Matt would play guitar and sing, but they still needed a lead guitarist and a bassist. They found their lead guitarist in Kyle Forrest who was only a freshman at the time but stuck out with his outlandish personality and skilled guitar playing. Mark told fellow classmate Tim Jobin about the project he and Matt were forming and how they needed a bass player. Tim joined the band without hesitation.

They immediately started writing songs in Tim's basement and preparing for their first show, which was a high school battle of the bands that they ended up winning. Since the beginning of 2005 Sans Heroic has been busy working their way into the hearts of the masses with their true-to-self music and attitude. They have released their debut album A Reason To Delay Your Answer; a ten track collection of their best songs at the time that was unleashed on November 17th 2006 and have performed on the radio. With their own distinct sound and presence they move full speed ahead. Now at the start of 2008, After a short hiatus and a name change, they are recording their second full length album titled This Life Is Purging.
