Description:
Sheep is a lot of different things. Sheep comes from many different places (not so much physically, but rather cognitively). Sheep is heavy yet light, psychedelic yet metal, grungy yet progressive. In short, Sheep is a lot. With influences reaching as far as Alpha Centauri to the Boreal Forests of Scandinavia, Sheep covers quite a bit of ground and their musical influences reach just as far and wide. The influences include everything ever heard by the band, good or bad. The band is currently comprised of 4 very different people who come together to create one unique musical soul, while still preserving their own separate entities. The band while being influenced heavily by the likes of Pink Floyd and the Beatles end up sounding something like a bastard son of Kyuss, Sabbath, Soundgarden and King Crimson. Sheep’s ever evolving sound is likened to the elements of the earth; the crushing weight of heavy waves of riffs to airy passages brushing against your skin only to vanish to vapor after. Sheep sonically pummels while simultaneously soothes; the music is dynamic and emotional. Sheep is a band that has to be experienced rather than just listened to, although a good listen is an experience in itself.
Band Members:
The band consists of 3 guys in their mid twenties and one in their very early thirties. Mike Everett plays bass and currently does lead vocal duties. Ryan Elliott provides the guitar, Bradley Goeres provides the essential backbeat and Colin “The Slug Slayer” Graham handles the synth and sax with expertise as well as some backing vocals/screams. The band is in search of the visual and vocal frontman to to complete the already powerful lineup.
