Mighty Nish Band

Everybody asks, “What is a Nish?” Once the music starts they find out that a Nish is a party and the Mighty Nish is a party band. People will be on their feet with smiles on their faces. Everyone will be talking about that great band with the crazy rock and roll accordion – yes, accordion. A Nish is just plain fun for all ages.

Band Members:
Jason Burmeister- Piano, accordion and vocals. Jason has been playing and recording professionally for over 20 years. He has played with the likes of Matt Guitar Murphy, the Coasters, the Drifters, the Platters, the Marvelettes, Blues Meister, Kate and the Big Boys, University of Northern Iowa Jazz Band I, Dead End, and Sundance. Jason is an enlightened and charismatic performer.

Gary Petersen- Bass and vocals. Gary has been playing rock, jazz, and contemporary Christian for over 15 years and was a member of Dead End. Gary’s musical diversity spans from percussion, piano, and drums. Gary is also an accomplished vocalist with a gutsy falsetto voice. Gary is a relentless bass player with a passion for the low end.

Seth Burmeister- Guitar and vocals. Seth has been playing professionally for over 15 years. He has experience with many styles of music including classical, jazz, blues, and rock. Seth was a member of Kate and the Big Boys and Blues Meister. Seth draws the audience in with his soulful guitar and vocals.

Jamie Burmeister- Percussion and vocals. Jamie has been playing professionally for over 20 years. He has experience playing and recording many styles of music including jazz, rock, blues, and classical. Jamie has spent extensive time playing in rock and blues bands around the Midwest and was a member of Kate and the Big Boys, Dead End and Blues Meister. Jamie is a rock solid drummer with impeccable style and feel.
