Description:
Earth Pig would probably be catagorized as Death/thrash metal. We got our name from a record store in colorado springs. Wh had asked the owner if we could use there store name for our band name. The veterran was more than happy to let us use this name but first he had to explain to us what an Earth Pig really is. The way he put it he said that an earth pig was a soldier, primarilly in Vietnam, that fought on the ground in the trenches hiding in the mud.An earth pig would have to crawl around in the mud trying to stay alive and defend our country in the harshist conditions. But the day we decided to name our band after earth pig was when me, my brother zach, and our drummer Jose had gone up to Denver with my dad to see slayer and lamb of god. We were really pumped and ready to mosh, but when we got to the entrance they did not let us in because we didn't have our ID's. That reallly pissed us off but there was nothing we could do about it so we sold our tickets and started to drive home. On the drive back my dad decided that we should go by some "stuff" at earth pig with our ticket money. I was still very pissed off and wasn't to pumped to go but when we got there I felt alot better and thought about our band. It finally clicked, earth pig motivated me to get shit going with our band, i turned my anger into motivation. That was when i asked if we could use the name Earth Pig, it made perfect freakin' sense to me. Thats when we started kicking ass and making a whole new style of death metal that we all have our own creative input. Earth Pig is going to keep getting more advanced at what we do and start getting people to see where we are coming from.

Band Members:
Cody Jackson-lead vocals- 18 has been in earth pig for about 9 months has his own sound and way of thinking when it comes to vocals. pure death metal vocals.
Zach Fagerstedt- bass- 17 started earth pig with me and shreds the bass like it's a guitar but with low dark rhythm.
Jose Jiminez- drums- 17 also started earth pig and has brought a different style of drums to the way we play metal.
Brandon fagerstedt- lead guitar- 16 started earth pig with my bro. and makes most of our riffs and lets everyone else construct their own parts into a heavy metal masterpeace.
