Happy hardcore. (Or insert any sub-genre of metal that includes loud, distorted guitars and combines screaming and singing.) Flinchpoint likes to twist the rules, and challenge people to think a little bit for themselves. The music is hard-edged; the lyrics are positive; the stage show is incredible. It's amazing that the guys usually only end up with a couple bruises and cuts rather than in the emergency room! The band has drawn comparisons to Sevendust, P.O.D., Deftones, old Staind, and even System of a Down. But why do you care? Well, Flinchpoint is more than just a band playing some music. It's more than just another concert. A performance is more of an experience. These guys are not only passionate about their music, but they are also passionate about life. Flinchpoint has played with national acts such as Dry Kill Logic, Project 86, Dope, Blindside, Pillar, Lennon, Shop 11 Phoenix, GRYP, and Junker Jorg at venues such as the Hard Rock Café (Denver, CO), Bluebird Theater (Denver, CO), Starlight Theatre (Fort Collins, CO), Albuquerque Community Skate Park (Albuquerque, NM), Fire Escape (Phoenix, AZ), Set Free (Yucaipa, CA), Water World (Federal Heights, CO), Shooter’s Hideaway (Des Moines, IA), USBC (Chicago, IL), The Fortress (Fredericktown, MO), PJ’s Pub (Manhattan, KS), Douglas County Fairgrounds (Castle Rock, CO), Herman's Hideaway (Denver, CO), Loveland Amphitheater (Loveland, CO), Chief Music Hall (Pueblo, CO), Aggie Theatre (Fort Collins, CO), Cervantes Ballroom (Denver, CO), Marquis Theater (Denver, CO), Ecks Saloon (Lakewood, CO), Acacia Park (Colorado Springs, CO), Iliff Park Saloon (Aurora, CO), Industrial Nation (Colorado Springs, CO), The Gardens (Colorado Springs, CO) and many others for thousands of fans over the years. Flinchpoint has performed at Cornerstone Festival (Bushnell, IL) and members of the band have played other festivals such as Visionfest and InvasionFest and even toured with The Extreme Tour.
The current line-up of Flinchpoint has been together since June 2007. All the members have previous band experience; Brian and Corey have been together since 1999 surviving several different member changes and name changes. The ultimate vision of the band was to combine hard-edged music with positive and thoughtful lyrics to make it meaningful and exciting for people. The guys regard themselves as a spiritually-based group creating hardcore music and living life as best as they can. With their passion, talent, and vision, they plan to make music a full-time career.
