Jus Play'n Jayne

Band Members:
Erin Jayne- Lead Vocals I also performed under my maiden name Erin Wallace. I have been singing publicly since the age of 15. Before graduating high school, I took private lessons in Dayton, Ohio and continued taking singing lessons in College at Indiana State University (ISU). At ISU I studied many different styles of music including: Classical, Jazz, Blues, and Commercial. In January of 2001, I received a Bachelors Degree in Music Business from ISU with a concentration in Merchandising and Business Administration. While in school I participated in Show Choir, Jazz Choir, Jazz Band, Symphonic Band and Choir. In 1996, I started singing Lead and Background Vocals for the Band, Raisin Cain, then in 1997, took the Lead Vocalist position in the Band, Custom Made. Custom Made played a variety of music including fifties and sixties, country and rock. I left Custom Made in December of 2003 and started playing for the band Southland. Southland also played a wide variety of music. I recently left Southland to start this Band, Jus Play'n Jayne. Besides these Bands, I also performed solo in many talent contests over the past 10 years. Among these were the Colgate Country Showdown, Terre Haute Idol, and the Illinois State Fair.

Todd Raley- Lead Guitar Todd is the smiling, skillful lead guitar player for the band. Todd is from Hymera, Indiana. His father played guitar, and Todd started picking and grinnin' around the age of seven. Todd is a very diverse player with a style that ranges from Steve Ray Vahn to Chet Adkins.

John Francis- Vocalist/Bassist John has been playing bass in Blues, Rock, and Country bands for over twenty years. John has one of the smoothest voices around, a perfect compliment to lead singer Erin but also strong enough to take the lead on a few songs himself. John started playing professionally when he was just 11 years old in New Goshen, Indiana. John not only plays bass guitar, but if you're lucky you just might see him play lead or steel guitar or even a Banjo. Some of the bands you may have seen John in would have been New South, Don Morris or Southern Comfort. When asked who some of his influences were, he lists Lynard Skynyrd and Charlie Daniels.

Roy Griese- Saxophone/Wind Machine Roy on saxophone slips in to add the finishing touches to the harmonious combination. Griese knows his stuff and can play it all- soprano, alto, tenor, and wind machine. Not out to steal the show, he prides himself on making the pretty parts sound pretty and filling in the holes: blending nicely behind the singers but also able to step forth and make his presence known if the song calls for it. Roy who is originally from Savannah, Georgia, began his musical career by playing for pizza at the American Legion Post 104 as a teenager. Some bands you might have seen Roy in would be: Short Notice, Southern Comfort, Little Dipper and the Shinning Stars, Jackie Lynn and the Heartland Express, Custom Made aka Jus Play'n Jayne. When asked who his influences were, Roy stated with a twinkle in his eye, Wynonna, Pink Floyd, Glenn Miller and MoTown. And this past year Roy had the opportunity to meet one of his influences, Wynonna, just ask him to tell you the story. :)
