My Anthem

Styled in the vain of 80's New-Wave and UK based Indie/Punk. The bands sound is a wash of Guitars, doubled Vocals, booming Bass and live Drums. Drawing off there influences like: the Psychedelic Furs, PIL, Swervedriver, My Bloody Valentine, Ned's Atomic Dustbin and the Rites of Spring. the band is offering up a new twist on the old style of Indie/Punk music.

Remember a bands name can say a lot so before you judge the length of there songs understand the purpose behind the songs and what the band was looking to do:

My Anthem follows in the steps of these great bands, and like them My Anthem believes in more of a fuller richer live sound and structure, with long draw out musical breaks and intro's put together to make an overall bigger musical presentation. Than that of your standard 2 minute Punk/Indie band.

Tired of the constant battles of a professional studio world, they opted to build a studio in Billy basement. Taking the skills taught to him by engineer and Chicago punk godfather Chuck Uchida, he took the time to finally get a sound he always dreamed of. With ballsy guitars, full bass, massive drums and more of the true live sound and feel.

The bands sound was rounded off with the incredible rhythm section of the recently departed Brian Mahan (Joy Tree) on bass and Matt Severing new to the punk/Indie world on drums. The band is currently shopping the CD around in hopes of finding a willing asnd supportive home for this and future projects.
