Description:
Mass Infusion is an idea. It's the total disregard of boundaries, perceptions, and expectations. It's a high-energy mixture of hard rock, classical, punk, salsa, metal, jazz, and anything else that inspires. These elements are brought together in an effort to create something truly unique. When it works, it's a Mass Infusion.
Influences:
Dream Theater, Incubus, RHCP, Soundgarden, Tool, STP, Old School Metallica, APC, Flogging Molly, Liquid Tension Experiment, Avenged Sevenfold, Tori Amos, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Steve Vai, Rachmaninoff, The Beatles, Alice in Chains, Mozart, Pantera, Suicidal Tendencies, System of a Down, Eddie Palmieri
Band Members:
Pete Zayas, Vocals & Keyboards
Classically trained piano player and brings that genres influence to the band. Vocally, along the lines of early 90's grunge, ala Scott Weiland and Eddie Vedder. Very energetic live performer, and the "frontman" of the group.
Andres Martinez, Guitar
Having spent the last decade honing his abilities, Andres draws his influence largely from the greats of metal and progressive rock, such as Marty Friedman, John Petrucci, Jason Becker, Yngwie Malmsteen, etc. He is very much responsible for blending the heavy elements of the band with the melodic ones.
Gomer, Guitar
A tremendous overall musician and compliment to Andres' style of playing. Very soulful, rock sound, with a great ear for arrangement. His nickname of Gomer is quite ironic, considering he is a rocket scientist by day.
Tom Zayas, Bass
The youngest member of the group at the age of 18, Tom consistently provides the freshest ideas for MI. He's been playing bass for 4 years, and has mastered the art of slapping and groove in that time. Also a skilled lyricist, his influence on the band will only continue to grow.
Animal, Drums
Just like his namesake for the Muppets, this wild-eyed creature beats the skins with reckless abandon, but does so with great complexity and understanding of how to make the heads nod in the crowd. A true fan favorite at the live shows.
