Description:
Hundres of years ago there was a movement in the musical world....a movement that changed the face of music and blew the minds off of anyone who thought they understood it before. When this movement happened...the masses had no idea how to react. Chaos and panic hit the streets......this movement shattered any musical stylings before and even after it....but alas even good things must come to an end eventually. So it died down, and the music scene went back to it's boring, regular, and generic sound. But a group of five young heros had heard and seen the state in which the musical world was in...and were sickened by it. They joined forces and together decided to rekindle the flames . They had heard rumors of a movement that had started long long ago....and they researched it exstensivly. they studied this movement and all that it had to offer....and after many hours of endless research, practice, tears, and sweat. They decided to start this movement all over again...the movement that casued chaos and panic, the movement that changed the face of the mucical world....they would do it, they would pioneer the movement once again....and that movement was called....Ars Nova.
Band Members:
Corey- A lead guitarist Feeling like he was born in the wrong decade Corey is drawn to the rock music of the 80's. favoring such bands as Van halen, the scorpions, AC/DC, UFO, and Queen. With uplifting and inovating guitar solos and melodies him and his flaming red mane have quite an impression to make on the modern rock scene.
Joe- Drawn to the percussive arts a few years ago, Joe became attracted to rock bands such as Rush, Dream Theater, Tool, and so on. As he played more and more, he searched other genres including jazz, funk, and latin. Joe is the heartbeat that keeps the band alive, bringing his unique flavor and style to the mix.
Zach- Newest member of the band, Zach, plays the bass guitar, having listened and learned from great bassists from bands such as The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. He has overcome adversity by not letting his color blindness hold him back.
Alex- Lead singer who is the proud owner of golden vocal chords. Is a master of harmonic singing, and can sing power chords all by his lonesome. Having influence from bands such as Saosin, the used, and Taking back sunday.
Eric- Rhythm guitarist and all around coolest member of the band. Influenced by The more modern punk rock, pop rock, and indie bands such as My Chemical Romance, Greenday, and Fall out boy.
