Description:
The Honkytonkers are Maine's premier power trio. Many people refer to their original music as "POWER COUNTRY" because it is truly a mix of classic Rock with a flavor of today's country music.Country music with attitude is how one article summed up the group. What can you expect when you see a Honkytonker show? ...A high energy stage show, with tight music and vocals. "These guys have the ability to make you feel like you are seeing a national act" says Donnie after seeing them play to a crowd of more than a thousand at the Skowhegan State fair. "They are seasoned, entertaining performers, and I bought a CD and a T-shirt said Donnie's wife Loretta. What sets the group apart from the rest, is that they are songwriters who are always writing and recording, a talent that allows them to create their own sound and style, not just copy someone elses. Oh yeah you'll hear music from Lynrd Skynrd, Bob Seager, Toby Keith, Brooks and Dunn, Big and Rich, Alan Jackson at a Honkytonker show, but they'll also throw in six or ten of their own tunes because that is what truly motivates them. Being a "Power Trio" has not only given them a unique sound, it also makes them more affordable than many five and six piece bands. If you have a club, event, fair or any other need for great music and entertainment, you have found your band.
