Description:
Electroglyph is a project created by two musicians, Scott Naylor and Carolyn Toronto, who happened to share the same musical vision of pop rock meets urbane experimentation.Their hybrid sound combines organic and electronic sounds driven by pulsing rhythm samples, accented by the singing and chanting of poetic story telling. Carolyn writes and sings all the vocal layers while Scott is the engineering guru of the project, creating the drum loops and sculpting the sounds. Both play keys and various instruments. Some of the sound textures were created with instruments Carolyn picked up from her third world travels to Thailand, India, Kazakhstan and South America.
Band Members:
Their debut album, One One, released with incredible response. Electroglyph has already made an impact on the eclectic, underground music scene in Salt Lake City. They have been featured in many venues and are working on their second album. Scott is a music producer/editor/outdoor adventurist and Carolyn is an illustrator/muralist/world vagabond. Both have been involved in music projects for over ten years writing and performing in bands around the country. Scott’s background is mostly in guitar and electronic production while Carolyn’s background is in piano, vocals and dramatics.
