My name is Stacy Bugg. I’m the manager for the band, DEVIL’S CHAMPION. We are a Hardcore band from Merrimack, NH.

I am writing today get permission to submit our 3 song demo.

1-WHERE DID YOU COME UP WITH THE NAME DEVILS CHAMPION?

-> The idea for Devil's Champion came from the medieval festival King Richard's Faire. One of the events at the faire is an old school joust between the King's Hero and the Devil's Champion. Of course the Devil's Champion is dressed all in black and looks completely evil, so it made a great subject for a band name. Sorry to disappoint but no Christians were actually harmed in the naming of this band

2- THE OBVIOUS QUESTION THAT COMES TO MIND IS ARE YOU SATAN WORSHIPPERS OR PAGANS? -> Neither, we're musicians. Devil's Champion isn't about religion, its about skull crushing metal. Pagan Christian, Atheist Buddhist, or Satanist doesn't matter.

3-WHO ARE THE MEMBERS OF DEVILS CHAMPION…FIRST AND LAST NAME…NICK NAME IF POSSIBLE. Al "AWOL" Wolfson Brian Rourke Matt "Big Matty" Burpee Matt Hart Jay "Drumzilla" Renaud

4-WHERE ARE YOU GUYS BASED OUT OF? AND HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN TOGETHER? -> We're loosely based out of Merrimack NH, everyone except Al has roots there. The band in one form or another has been together for almost 3 years, this current incarnation, including Al, the newest addition, has been together roughly 7 months.

5-WHAT GENRE OF MUSIC DO YOU PLAY & WHAT MAKES YOUR MUSIC BETTER THAN OTHERS IN YOUR GENRE? -> The high level genre would of course be metal. But the number of metal sub genres rival the number of VDs that Paris Hilton has. We'd have to say we're a blend including some parts hardcore, some parts death metal, and probably a sprinkling of a handful of other flavors. The things that set us apart from others in this genre are cohesion and diversity. We play as one musical dynamo, crushing and grinding sound into a kill fest of a song. And diversity in that we all bring different musical influences into our contributions, from Matt Hart's classical training to Brian and Big Matty's funk alter egos, Filthy McNasty. The metal sound infused with a variety of influences really lets our sound shine through the lackluster cesspool of generic sounds that the metal scene has been churning out lately. We refuse to be the same old crap that you hear every day on the radio.

6-WHY SHOULD PEOPLE COME TO YOUR SHOW, AND WHAT SHOULD THEY EXPECT TO SEE/HEAR. -> Not only do we challenge ourselves musically, we challenge our audiences too. We love what we do, driving fans into a blood tinged frenzy, and we whip ourselves into a fury and bring the audience with us. The whole point of a live show is to be absorbed into the sound and feel of the band, for a total body submersion into the music and the vibe. If you go to a show and don't get that all encompassing feeling, then the band failed and you should have stayed home and just listened to a CD. We strive to push ourselves as far as we can go up on stage, and we take everyone in the venue along for the ride.

7-WHAT IS THE INSPIRATION BEHIND YOUR MUSIC? IS THERE A MESSAGE BEHIND IT? -> Individual songs have specific inspirations behind them, but we wouldn't say there is a specific, canned message for any particular song or from us as a whole. It's more like our songs relay themes and emotions. Our songs have been written with specific occurrences and thoughts in mind, but have been specifically written to allow the listener to draw experience from their own pain and anger soaked memories and apply them to our music. And unlike many bands and genres that wrap themselves up in their "hurt feelings" that are invoked by their music, the emotions raised by Devil's Champion exist for one sole purpose - beating the snot out of the source of the pain, and rising above it.

9-DO YOU HAVE MUSIC THAT FANS CAN CHECK OUT? HOW DO THEY GET THEIR HANDS ON IT? -> We're currently circulating a free 3 song demo at all of our shows and events.The three tracks from the demo can also be downloaded from our website, myspace page, and a variety of online music sites. We're currently in the process of recording a full length CD which we hope to release early this fall.......

10-ARE THERE ANY BANDS OUT THERE THAT YOU RESPECT, THAT YOU'D LIKE TO MEET OR TOUR WITH? -> Hell yeah there are, but how do we narrow it down to just a few? I think we all agree that some of the top bands we'd all want to meet would include Slayer, Lamb of God, Killswitch Engage, and plenty of others.

11-MUSICIAN'S USUALLY SPEND ALL THEIR TIME WORKING, WRITING, PERFORMING WHILE THE WORLD GOES ON AROUND THEM. IN THE PAST 5 YEARS OR SO ARE THERE ANY EVENTS IN THE METAL WORLD THAT HAVE AFFECTED YOU EITHER POSSITIVELY OR NEGATIVELY? -> Dimebag's death would be the first and foremost event, that really crippled the metal industry. Really everything else in the recent years pales in comparison in respect to their influence or impact on the scene
