Death Among Heroes was formed August 2005 and practiced and worked on songs without playing a show (because DAH didn't want to rush it) until March 2006. Which Patience must have paid off, because after all the hard work these guys put into this music with band members coming and going and a lot of things not going their way, DAH played there first show March 4 at Nation in DC with 100+ other bands.....AND WON!! Band Members Mike Miller and Buck Quade have been long time friends as well as bandmates (The Hurting Truth). Maurice Owens and Dustin Hughes as well have been long time friends and bandmates (One Too Many). Joey Frosio was long time friend and bandmate of the guys from another local band (Count Your Blessings, formerly Avenue) until he was kicked out for another drummer. Tony Barnes came along in January 2006 and tried out for DAH and he was just what they needed, an excellent choice for a frontman.
