Description:
Jobe has been recording and writing music since 1995. starting out as the college band "planet b" at berea college in berea, kentucky, lashbrooks struck out on his own to write and record good original music that would not only be hook heavy, but appealing to people of all generations. started in 2003, the material that would become "exhausted tv set" took shape in bloomington, indiana while lashbrooks was living at "the dive". recorded between 2003 and 2005, "exhausted" is an early look at the artistic and diverse landscape that Jobe would take in "soundscaping". with "exhausted" finished, Jobe performed a few dates in the bloomington area and began contemplating a new album. Coming to fruition in late 2005, the material for what is becoming "all said and done" was written in the middle of turmoil and reconcilations. tracks that will be featured here in the future will be "after december" and the hooky "ladded gold". stay tuned for more in the future...
Band Members:
Chris Lashbrooks- all songwriting, instruments, and vocals it's kinda hard to put a finger on exactly what this music "sounds" like. I try to keep it as original as it can be in this commercially radio-driven age. But, you might hear a little Layne Staley, Vedder or Matthews in the voice. It really depends on the song. I just strive for good, intimate music!!
