Juke

Juke is a talented group of four 16 and 17 year olds from various parts of southeastern MI. Their talent and intelligence makes every jam session a little different every time and they're always a show. They are strongly influenced by the major jam bands of the day such as moe., Umphrey's McGee, Phish, Ween etc, but they also have rock influences (the classics: Zepp, the Beatles etc, some modern stuff: Franz Ferdinand, Weezer etc, even some funk every now and then) as well as alternative, such as radiohead, coldplay etc.

While all these influences show up in their music from time to time, everybody who hears them agree that they have a unique sound that is difficult to descibe as being anything other than Juke. They're loud but soft, they're traditional yet they break rules, they're happy and upbeat yet somber.

Keep an eye on these guys. Nobody knows what the future holds but many people agree that it will probably hold a little more Juke.

Band Members:
Nick King: Drums Nick is an energetic young man who grew up in the detroit and suburban detroit areas. He always lightens the mood with his whitty humor. He is a quick learner and is always learning new fills and improving his skills. Some have said he resembles a young Moon or Bonham, but he remains modest.

Daniel Emmerson: Guitar/ Vocals Dan is an upbeat 17 year old with lots of energy and a refreshing attitude towards life. He plays almost every instrument, and plays them well, but the guitar remains his forte. His songs make the listeners feel something, as well as hear it.

Kyle Resto: Bass Kyle is a colorful young man who calls the streets of Royal Oak his home. He is always the life of the party. Kyle is always eager to learn and he is always improving his skills on one of his many instruments but as with dan, just one remains his forte, and that would be the bass.

Josh Roberts: Lead Guitar/ Vocals Josh is an eccentric boy from Detroit. He tends to be quiet sometimes but when he speaks up a good time is always had by all. He is a hard worker. He taught himself guitar, however Josh knows there is always more to learn and recently he has been dabbling in the art of Jazz guitar to improve his improvisational skills. When the band loses themselves in a jam Josh always knows how so spice things up, slow things down, speed things up and he always keeps listeners on their feet with his creative and refreshing guitar talents.
