Description:
Intense City draws its influences from classic rock, funk, and jazz. Most of their songs, including original songs, would probably be classified as “rock and roll.” Improvisation during performance is highly stressed. Their repertoire consists of an ever growing, healthy mix of original and covers songs. Artists covered include Buddy Miles, Traffic, Santana, Little Feat, Curtis Mayfield, Al Kooper, Shuggie Otis, Steely Dan, Talking Heads and the Beatles.
Band Members:
Andrew Rapisarda- Lead Guitar and Vocals- Andrew is the the voice of the band through his lead guitar playing and his vocal work. Andrew draws his infleunces from a diverse array of music including Steely Dan, Phish, Jimi Hendrix, The Allman Brothers, James Brown, and The Greatful Dead.
Kyle Kilduff- Guitar and Vocals- Kyle is the compliment to Andrew and a great song writer as well. Including vocal duties, he is also known play lead on a few songs. Kyle draws his infleunces from Blind Melon, Cake, Santana, Phish, and Jimi Hendrix.
Kai Eason- Bass- Kai bridges the gap between the guitar work and the drums. His influences inclued moe. The Meters, The Allman Brothers, Phish, and many old school funk bands.
Lee Francis- Drums and backing Vocals- Lee is the heartbeat of the rhythm section and draws heavily from jazz to keep a varied sound. His influences inclued John Fishman, assorted jazz drummers, and John Bonham.
