Bayou City Kingfish

Band Members:
Peter Evans: guitar, vocals - first picked up the guitar as a way to pass the lonely nights as a proud member of the US Military serving in Germany. Peter has been influenced by the likes of REM’s Peter Buck, Tom Petty, and the Beatles. Besides providing rockin’ rhythms, Peter adds variety to the Kingfish sound with his own stylish vocals.

Bruce Stone: drums - brings a multitude of musical experience to the B.C. Kingfish. Bruce started his musical career in Orange, TX in a mid-80’s “glam-rock” band. While he’s hung up the spandex, he continues to drive a solid backbeat for the powerful music.

Steve Wiggington: vocals, percussion - powerful and distinctive vocals are the driving force behind the “Kingfish” sound. Originally from the wilds of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Steve started his musical career at an early age and has never looked back. Steve’s vocal style provides the solid punch to our music and his ‘showman’ attitude gives unequaled energy to each performance.

Bill Spurlock: bass, vocal, guitar - backing vocal prowess blends perfectly with the sound of Kingfish. His influences come from the stylized side of numerous musicians and Bill’s dedication to entertaining truly crowns him as the “band cutup”. Bill’s versatility as a bass player makes women scream and men jealous - not to mention he make’s the bottom end come alive!

Ric Taylor: guitar, keys - This Houston native and gifted musician adds the musical flair to Kingfish sound. Rick can “get on top” with rippin’ guitar solos or provide lush undertones with his keyboards. When he’s not tearing up the fret-board, Rick falls in with some tasty rhythm work.
