Description:
the seams were formed in early 2001, shortly after dan caro and andrew g met on the jazz-funk scene of New Orleans, Louisiana. The seams was initially formed as a side project, while both participated in other various local bands, including together in the funk rock project Dimorphodon. dan caro and andrew g have performed at noted events including South by Southwest and Jazz Fest. dan has also performed before President Jimmy Carter, and was featured in the July 2005 issue of Modern Drummer magazine. Drawing deeply from classical music theory, New Orleans rhythms, and jazz paradigms the seams redefine the pop-rock genre by merging classic-rock influences with a modern-pop sensibility. After five years of distractions, the seams will release their debut album in January, 2006.
