Description:
Dixie Dirt is not a genre band. The group doesn't follow trends and certainly don't try to sound like what's on the radio or even some of the more obscure stuff. They have been compared to such bands as Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Low and the Pixies, but such comparisions are simply a bare-bones framework of reference. Dixie Dirt has performed at Bonaroo 2005, Knoxville's Sundown in the City concert series and the annual Brewers Jam. The band also organizes an annual New Years Eve celebration at Barley's Taproom in Knoxville. This event includes other local bands and draws more than 800 patrons every year.
Band Members:
This is a four member band. They are Kat Brock (guitarist/singer/songwriter), Angela Santos (guitarist/keyboardist), Brad Carruth (bassist/keyboardist) and Pete Bryan (drummer).
