Description:
Indie music that rocks! Eclectic sounds with the mission to make you see. Covering a broad spectrum of musical colors. A few of our songs on the albulm were recently recorded with grammy award winning producer, Bob Tucker and his ingenious jazz pianist wife Jane Getz. Getz has recorded with John Lenon and Don Henly, among other legendary musicians. Also featured on those songs: bassist Clarence Robertson and drummer Clarence Johnston. The sound of the band is hard to pinpont as it constantly changes and evolves.
Band Members:
We met in Los Angeles, Ca on the movie set of "Oh brother where art thou" and we've been playing together since 1999. We are one Irish American, multi-instrumentalist (James) and a german art conceptualist and poet who thinks he can sing (John). McAuley studied music at Rutgers University, where he discovered the french impressionists, who have influenced him greatly. The french impressionists were known to look at music from a visual perspective. From an early age, John Castner has worked on the restoration of ancient cathedrals and monestaries as a sculpter and stonemason. He also has painted and is in love particularly with the paintings of Wassily Kandinsky and Paul Klee, who see visual art from a musical perspective. As a poet, Castner has also experimented with using language as a means to paint mental images, always playing with the musicality in language. Thus was born the concept band, Synesthesia, with the goal of painting musical impressions and lyrical images combined with visual effects during performances.
