Description:
Nancy and Tammy Dail and the Country Roads band play current and traditional country music, from "Here for the party" and "I'm gonna hate myself in the morning" to "I fall to pieces" and Satin sheets. Add plenty of old time "Rock and Roll" "Elvia", "Mustang Sally" to "The Rose", "I will always Love you", and "Unchained melody." Put in some Carolina's beach music such as "Under the board walk", "39-21-46", and "My guy", and you have a versatile song selection to please almost any audience. Add superb showmanship fronted by the mother/daughter team of Nancy and Tammy Dail and it is a fabulous performance.
Band Members:
Lead vocalists Nancy and Tammy Dail, a mother/daughter duo were Nashville performers before returning to North Carolina; they sang separately (Nancy with High Noon band) until the reformation of High Noon band as "Country Roads", with the addition of two members. Band members John Akerman (keyboards), Bowie Martin (steel guitar) and Ronnie King (guitar) were with Nancy in High Noon. Glenn Speight (vocals and bass) and Ken Dawson (drums) were added to form Country Roads. All musicians played in many other groups over the years.

November 5, 2006 - The Country Roads band performs this Saturday night at the New South Club in LeGrange, NC; location is Hwy 70 West. Hours 8-12; doors open at 7 p.m. Admission is $8.
Country Roads starts recording its second CD this coming Sunday, Nov. 6 at Thunder Road Studios in Wilson, NC
