Tim Harris Acoustic Praise & Worship

Tim began singing at a very early age and since there was no youth choir joined the adult church choir at age 10. His first instrument was the saxophone, which he played throughout his teens in the school band. Tim picked up the guitar at age 14 and has had a difficult time putting it down ever since. He has played and sung all types of music and has served as guitarist, drummer, bass player and soundman in many different groups throughout the years.

His influences come from secular artists such as The Beatles, The Eagles, Crosby Stills Nash & Young and James Taylor to name a few, but his favorites are the early Contemporary Christian artists, Keith Green, Sweet Comfort Band, 2nd Chapter of Acts, The Imperials and Barry McGuire. Tim and his wife Ginger married in 1985 and reside in the piedmont region of North Carolina with their daughter Milea.

"Being raised by loving parents in a Christian home is a wonderful blessing but like many others in my shoes I had times that I drifted away from the Lord. Thanks to His wonderful love & mercy I'm here today. In 1984 the Lord really spoke to me through a series of events involving my job. Driving down the road engrossed in my problem I began to sing the Imperials song "Praise The Lord". "Up Against A Struggle That Shatters All Your Dreams", those words were reality at the time. So right there I made a decision to follow God and not turn back. Some 20 plus years and lots of other struggles have passed and God is still good."

"My focus for the past 10 years or so has been in the area of Praise & Worship. Having served on the Worship Team and as Worship Leader for several churches, I can truly say that it's an awesome experience to have a part in leading people into the Lord's Presence. I am amazed at what God has done in the lives of His people through Praise & Worship just recently. I am also very excited about this coming year as God begins to move His people to an even deeper worship experience. Jump on; it's going to be a great ride!"

This past year Tim along with his wife Ginger have traveled throughout the southeast leading Praise & Worship and assisting Worship Teams in various churches. When not on the road Tim and his family attend "Harvest Church" in Albemarle, NC.
