Description:
Powerful vocals, beautiful melodies, insightful lyrics, and unusual harmonies supported by acoustic guitar are the musical trademark of dancing Light acoustic duo members, Kiki and Greg Webb.
Band Members:
Both singer/songwriters, Kiki and Greg Webb sparked their musical partnership in March of 1993 when they unexpectedly and spontaneously started making music together at the birthday celebration of a mutual friend.
They experienced a telepathy and familiarity in creating music with one another that evening, inspiring Greg to stay up into the wee hours writing "Wings Of Song" (now a mainstay of their performances.) An enduring musical and personal partnership was born.
Shortly thereafter they began performing together as the "Great Wet Band" (from an all too common mispronunciation of "Greg Webb Band") with Rob Rothschild on drums, David Ottenberg on bass, Mike Cripe on electric guitar, and John Stephens on keyboard. The band performed all original songs written by Greg and Kiki and had the great pleasure of opening for Arlo Guthrie and Deepak Chopra on two separate occasions, at Gainesville, Florida's Center for the Performing Arts.
Kiki and Greg also began to work together as an acoustic duo performing at numerous benefits, art fairs, festivals, community events and concerts. Kiki and Greg married in February of 1998. Collaborating on new songs and blending their eclectic musical backgrounds to create a sound all their own, they continue to write and record together on the shores of Trader's Bay in northern Minnesota.
