Description:
Back to Blonde: A newly renamed indie rock band in NYC (formerly "Joe Rogers"). The trio of intensely devoted and passionate musicians has been playing bars and clubs on the east coast since early 2001. Having opened for an assortment of diverse talents through their young careers, the highlights of the past three years have included opening slots for Capitol Record's The Pushstars, Mike Farris of the Screaming Cheetah Wheelies, Johnny Society, and Brand New.
Back to Blonde began collaborating in 2004 with producer Adam Lasus (Juliana Hatfield, Clem Snide, Yo La Tengo) on what has now become their first full-length LP entitled, Swim West. The debut record, which features all the elements of the alternative/indie rock style that has made them so successful, is scheduled for release in 2005.
Band Members:
Back to Blonde features Christian Linsey on drums, Pat Malone on bass, and Joe Rogers on guitar and vocals. The trio has grinded out the club and college scenes of Buffalo, Binghamton, Ithaca, Montreal, Pennsylvania and New York City. Back to Blonde has has won over audiences in the smallest of venues, in addition to stirring up crowds in opening slots for larger bands with their impressive live performances. Guitar driven rock, the heart and soul of a talented songwriter, and the steady intensity of an aggressive rhythm section has brought Back to Blonde growing success as they continue to perform along the east coast.
