JUNE JOPLIN - VOCALS

June Joplin brings an amazing range of vocal virtuosity and dazzling stage performance to the BLT. With a repertoire spanning from the 1930’s through today’s pop, rock and jazz hits, June’s grabs an audience and brings them to their feet as well as the great entertainers whose work she loves to perform. Her dazzling Broadway style and seductive harmonies bring an audience to auditory rapture... and when Brad and June start start their harmonies, you better hang on because you can bet the night is going to be one you’ll remember.

BOB REID - PIANO/KEYBOARD AND VOCALS

Before emigrating to Nevada in 1995 Pianist Bob Reid worked as a professional songwriter and musician in New York City and Los Angeles, a choral singer with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and is the author of the popular student text Understanding Music.

Since coming to Nevada Bob has continued to expand his repertoire, playing rock 'n' roll with the oldies band Lost at the Lake, Ellington and Gershwin in solo piano gigs at the Gold Hill Hotel, and gospel, country, and jazz at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Carson City, where he is the Director of Contemporary Music. Currently Bob is working with the novelist Steven Nightingale to adapt Nightingale's novel The Lost Coast as a musical comedy

GARY LYON - DRUMS, BASS AND "PROPELLER HEAD"

The consumate sideman, Gary Lyon entered the world of music in Virginia City, Nevada during the great Jazz Revival period of the 60’s. From this experience Gary took up the drums and over the years has played with a variety of groups throughout the country representing as many different music styles. Gary brings a gift for tasteful treatments and melodic use of the drum kit that not only sets a solid beat but brings a distinctive musical flavor to BLT performances. Oh yes, Gary's our resident “propeller-head”, hauling equipment, hooking up all our sound equipment and keeping our web site in order....a VERY useful guy!
