Description:
The Fun was formed on December 13, 2001 under the name Meccagodzilla by Kevin Engleman and Dan Switzer. After a couple of months of playing together, the band quit playing for a little while, but in August of 2003, Meccagodzilla became The Fun. The Fun is headed up by Alan Young on the bass and Kevin Engleman on the guitar. Drumming for the fun is Dan Switzer. The original singer for The Fun was Shawn Kunkle, but he left the band in the summer of 2004. The new lead singer for the band is Steve Peterson. Steve brings to the band a unique vocal style that sounds alot like Glenn Danzig. Alan uses a Fender Jazz Bass and a Peavey amp. Kevin uses a Fender Stratocaster and Boss stomp boxes as well as a Marshall amp. Dan uses a 7 peice Premeir drumset with Zildjian cymbols and a Pacific double bass pedal.
