Description:
Gear is a 4-piece hard rock/heavy metal act from the Central Alabama area that was formed in mid-2002. Our roots reach deep in metal history grasping to the likes of Black Sabbath and Alice Cooper. We've since found influence in the 80's, 90's and 00's with bands ranging from Pantera and Black Label Society to Flaw and Soil. Although those influences are unmistakable in what can now be recognized as the Gear sound, they are also submerged in our own brand of raw, emotionally driven rock-n-roll. We present a wall of sound through thick, crunchy guitar riffs and flashy solos accompanied by chest penetrating bass and unbelievable drums and percussion, fronted by powerful, mind-shattering vocals.
After having been on the metal scene for just one year, we find ourselves headlining some of the biggest club venues in the Southeast. With our natural ability to entertain, a reputation for professionalism that precedes us, and the marketability of the "Gear" name, our crowd continues to grow. While our performance cannot be captured with words, it should not be overlooked. The Gear image is based on a simple idea...unity. Although we have four undeniable identities, they are but cogs that unite to form one solid gear.

JAMEZ - Laid back and reliable, Jamez is a relativey new member who brings his solid chops and heavy/hard rock attitude to the table.
