BumpNasty

BumpNasty was formed in June of 2003. It is a merging of musicians with common goals - to play music that is entertaining, uplifting and fun.

Song selection is key to them, they desire to select songs that people have heard before, songs that are danceable, rockable, singable or just plain radical.

Band Members:
BumpNasty was formed in Northern Virginia in June of 2003. It’s members are comprised of a group of musicians that have been active in the music scene for many many years. Most started playing music as early teenagers. Each member has been in various bands, both local and in other parts of the country. Some have done minor tours with past bands, while others have basically stayed in the local scene. BumpNasty was formed with the goal in mind to play solid, well known music that a crowd would enjoy, dance to and even sing along with. They want to be not just ‘another’ local band, but one of the best. BumpNasty comes from the minds of Scott and Brad, who had played in a past band together. Steve (bass) was in another previous band with Brad, and has ‘jammed’ with Scott in the past. Julie comes via audition, where she won the guys over with her fantastic vocals. BumpNasty currently consists of 4 members, Julie (vocals and keyboards), Brad (drums), Steve (bass) and Scott (electric/acoustic guitars and midi programming). While they had another male vocalist, his job forced him to relocate, so that spot in the band is currently being sought to fill. After taking time off from live performances due to his departure and the holding of auditions for his replacement, it was decided to pick up and gig again. Auditions are still being held, but this is a live performing band that is eager to continue with shows. This has changed the song list considerably for the present time, but with Julie’s more than adequate voice, it has not hindered BumpNasty’s performance abilities
