Description:
iNkOgNiTo is an unsigned hard rock band with a unique sound that's not present in today's market. The band was created by vocalist and guitarist Steve Schroeppel and drummer Randy Mallett. With the addition of lead guitarist Mason Curtis and bassist Dave Wallis, iNkOgNiTo gained a much needed boost to take their music to the next level. Since 1998, the band has proven itself to be the premier hard rock band of southeast Missouri. With their extensive fan base and multiple studio demos, iNkOgNiTo has constantly moved forward to achieve popularity in the surrounding areas. In 2000, iNkOgNiTo signed a contract with Talent 2K (a leading talent agency based in Chicago, IL). Stemming from that, the band was offered two recording contracts with labels in Los Angeles and New York City. Both offers were declined by the band, in hope of attaining a more lucrative deal. In August 2003, iNkOgNiTo was offered a non-exclusive promotional contract with a major record label in Florida-which again, they declined. That same month, iNkOgNiTo released their third ep, "Fifteen Minutes of Brilliance"-the first album with the current lineup and features such songs as "Mine is Dead" and "Shake the Hand of the Man". In December 2003, those two songs were chosen by two separate independent labels to be featured on their latest compilation cd's. The cd's will be distributed world-wide and submitted to various major labels such as Sony, Warner, Geffen, etc. for consideration. The new album consists of a more hard rock sound then what was previously released by the band, which they hope will target a much wider audience. iNkOgNiTo has been around the block and back and there's no end in sight. Watch out for this band!! They will be a household name within just a few years.
