Energetic rock trio with shared vocals, memorable tunes and a dose of good humor. The press says:
". . . it's catchy, melodic music evocative of the Foo Fighters, or Jimmy Eat World." Willamette Week, 1/8/04
"Best for last was 3 Second Rule. The feeling of the old altern/punk bands of the 80's, but yet with a modern twist . . " Catherine Walker, website review 2/04
Thanks for supporting local music!
Band Members:
Chris Branger - drums
Ed Kaufman - bass and vocals
Mike Webb - guitar and vocals
Chris Branger and Ed Kaufman hail from Red Lodge, MT. Upon moving to Portland, they placed an ad in a local publication looking for a guitarist interested in a "Sparta/Alkaline Trio"-style project. The only response they received was from Portland area native, Mike Webb. The three began writing and rehearsing in the Spring of 2003, and have been playing out locally and regionally since October of that same year. The band has been fortunate enough to play many of their favorite local venues (Ash Street, Twilight Cafe, and the Tonic Lounge) as well as sharing the stage with some of Portland's finest bands (Susie Blue, theFORreals, Source Code and the Forth, to name just a few). 3SR has plans to record an EP in June of '04.
