Description:
Formed in 2001 under the name Furthurmore, Draught (pronounced 'draft') began as a six piece acoustic style jam band. After three years and some personnel changes, Draught has evolved into Connecticut’s foremost rock band. Draught has matured, mixing styles as diverse as rock and beatbox. Flourishing solos, powerful hooks and enigmatic lyrics are just samples of what Draught has in store for music lovers everywhere.
Draught is comprised of singer/song writer Thomas Palancia (vocals, guitar), Matthew Kaminskis (percussion) Sean Finnerty (bass) Nick Penna (guitar) and Frank Flory (drums). The band has been hired by the United Services Organization (U.S.O.), an affiliate of the United States Department of Defense, to play for ten days at the Thule Airbase in Thule, Greenland. Draught has played with such distinguished acts as: (Dave Matthews Band collaborator),Tim Reynolds, The Samples, Umphrey’s McGee, RANA, Psychedelic Breakfast, and many other notable musical acts. Draught has been a regional band with aspirations of extending their touring nationally. Most recently Draught has finished recording “WOKE UP DEAD” with Producer Jean-Christophe Santalis of Raw Recordings in Mahopac, New York and Mastered at the highly regarded Engine Room Studio in Manhattan. Draught will begin touring in support of their new album in the fall of 2003.
