Description:
Hi, we're a female fronted rock band with appeal to both sexes. Some of our influences include but are not limmited to:Tool,Black Sabbath,The Cure,Radio Head,Nirvana,Pearl Jam. We've had a wonderful reception of our style and know we're on to something big. We have a site with our mp3s which are also in the pre-production phase. We're currently trying to decide what studio to proffessionally record our full length cd at.And I know that with good production and a "radio ready cd, we'll be set for the full force marketing campaign. Alot of work, yes but dilligence,drive passion and that "take no for an answer" attitude will propel us to the next level. We are a 4 piece band with a 5 piece sound 3 males and a female front. We're out of the Lakes Region in NH and the East Coast music scene is just as fluent as the West. We do however mostly play in the Boston area.I know this band has the marketing edge and we're dubbing 2004 our year to succeed. No ifs ands or buts about it baby.
Band Members:
Melanie- female front 28 and living in NH for most of her life,this singer/songwriter has a quality in her voice that's been compared to evanescense and Laguna Coil although her style is more aggressive and perhaps slightly more gothic sounding. But each song she delivers is so different in composition and originality. There is no one more motivated to bring this band to the top than this girl. She lives for this dream as do the other members,especially her live in boyfriend of 7 years who is also the guitarist. Karl was born and raised in the boston area and moved to Melanie's native land of NH in order to write quality material in the secluded mountains. Now that the material is near completion,the studio is calling and it's time to head to the city. Karl is an incredible musician with an exceptonal style of his own.playing since he was 12 years old,( Now 26) he's a genious in the way he integrates intracacy with simplicity. He sounds like Hendrix meets the guitarist of Tool. bassist and drummer are out of MA as well and commute to Mel and Karl's jam space up North. These guys work together very well and form a true partnership in the beat.When you truly love your instrument as do these guys,the sky is the limit.That dare to dream attitude gives Dead Friends their 3rd and 4th wheel to ride. Determination is these boys' middle name.
