Hey everyone!
We've got one more show lined up then we'll be taking a little breather for a couple of months.
It's next Friday, April 8th at Rusty's Surf Ranch on the Santa Monica Pier at 11:00. We'll be playing a full hour and will have copies of our cd for sale for $5. It's all ages, and the cover is only $5 for most of you ($10 if you are under 21 without a parent... i.e. drinker - but if you have to pay $10, let us know and we'll give you one of our cds for free.) You don't need a flyer, just let them know you are there to see 39 Reasons.
If you haven't been to 39reasons.com lately, check it out. We've got some really cool pics from our show at The Gig last month and a new forum up. You can talk to a band member, participate (and create) polls, and find out about shows. We've also posted our review from the current issue of All Access Magazine. But to save you the trouble of searching for it, we thought we'd post it for you here. What do you think?
39 Reasons Universal Bar & Grill By Jeff Raymond I've heard many good things about the band, and I've heard their music, but I hadn't had an opportunity to see them play live, until now, and like always, I was skeptical, but they didn't disappoint. 39 Reasons is a Modern Rock band with good energy and singable lyrics. Case in point, 'Lost Angeles'. It sounds like something you'd regularly hear on your local radio station. The music is tight and lyrics go seamlessly with the music. With as long as the same song seems to last on the radio lately, I'd say songs like 'Garden' and 'One More Chance' are just "airplay-in-waiting". It is apparent that this 4 piece band, fronted by singer Nate Stauffer, and well supported by Brian Angely on guitar, Joe McLaughlin on Bass, and Scott Speer on the skins has alot of experience. They are all talented musicians and they play really well together and put on a very good show, and people seem to notice. With the quality of their show, coupled with the fact that they really seem to know how to promote themselves well, its just a matter of time before they find themselves out in the mainstream...and I'm looking forward to seeing them again and hearing their next new song.
